How do we know for sure that you had the best one-man season of your life, unless we know your name?

REVEAL YOURSELF!

I'm willing to buy performance enhancing drugs from real people, but not from anonymous monikers. Also, I love coffee, and would hate to have to cut back on my intake...

i know you say your product is used by every organ. but do you mean every organ. if so sign me up.

BTW, you took the supplement for three months, and you had the best OC 1 season ever? Did you take this amazing product during your three months of base, or three months of racing. Just wondering.

finally, i think the last thing my body needs is super juiced roided out white blood cells running willy nilly all over the place effin' things up. last time i went in for testing i wasn't oxidizing out of control yet.

also, was this your first OC 1 season? this could explain the "best ever" year you had. if so i might be a great client for your wonder drug after all. i have never paddled an OC 1 season, so this year coming up will be my best season EVER.

P.S. does this product come in lotion form?

So is the supplement taken intravenous or by inhaler?
"There is very little evidence that taking glutathione supplements provides any benefit.." read on:

A comment on supplements:

There will hardly ever be a randomized, double blind study with statistically significant numbers related to supplements. It is too expensive.

Supplements are not strictly regulated; they can be marketed without FDA approval. A company may conduct a small, inexpensive study to promote a product.
These small studies do not hold up to what is called scientific proof, contrary to promotional claims.

We will never know for sure if glutathione/other supplements are helpful, hurting or neutral.

i personally prefer the intramuscular method of taking it. it is much more fun if you get the shot in the but muscle. i usually have poopsie do mine.

not the best source in the world, but wikipedia had this to say:

Supplementing has been difficult, as research suggests that glutathione taken orally is not well absorbed across the GI tract. In a study of acute oral administration of a very large dose (3 grams) of oral glutathione, Witschi and coworkers found that "it is not possible to increase circulating glutathione to a clinically beneficial extent by the oral administration of a single dose of 3 g of glutathione."[9], [10]. However, tissue and serum glutathione concentrations can be raised by increased intake of the precursor cysteine. Glutathione precursors rich in cysteine include Acetylcysteine (NAC),[11] undenatured whey protein [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19]and N-acetyl-cysteine [20] have been shown to increase glutathione content within the cell. N-acetylcysteine is a generically available supplement which has been demonstrated to increase intracellular reduced and total glutathione by 92% and 58% respectively. [21] All of the published clinical studies using bioactive whey proteins mentioned in the references above used a form of a bioactive whey protein and bonded cystine dietary supplement derived from lactose-free organic milk (whey protein) called Immunocal. This whey protein is clinically proven to increase glutathione levels within the lymphocytes of the immune system by 35.5% while increasing peak power and muscular performance by 13%. Ha! You wasted 8 minutes of your life.

I wouldnt be suprised if this is just a marketing email. No name. brand new to the site. Doesnt reply back to anyone questions or comments. The only time I hear about products with "double blind" studies are on those commercials after 9pm for organ enlargment! The one that runs at the same time as the girls gone wild videos.

James, I thought that 'maxgxl' might have been you. Its true, you are paddling great this season - and Lanikai CC looks to be amazing this year, too.

I am not saying that glutathion supplement does not work; - it is just very, very expensive to prove something like that on a certain level.

Raul Gonzales, center forward for Real Madrid, started sleeping under an oxygen tent a good year ago. After that, at age 30, he had one of his best seasons, after several years of average performances.

So you might say the oxygen has helped him. To prove something like that in a double blind study is extremely difficult. The participants have to be more or less similar, confounding factors have to be excluded etc..

When it comes to a huge difference, you don't need many participants. Let's say do research: drink 10 beers and paddle vs no beer and paddle.

When it comes to subtle changes you need thousands of participants. Years of planing and preparation. Protocols. Meetings. The data have to be collected following guidelines established by Duke's Research Center, the study coordinators/investigators have to be certified and approved and many more things, ethics boards etc, etc. Inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, gender differences etc.. We are talking millions of dollars.

In short: I am not discrediting what you say; I just want to make sure that people understand the business of 'double blind' studies a little better.

MaxGXL works 100% of the time, but only 50% reduction in cellular inflammation? If I'm the other 50% of cells that didn't get a reduction of cellular inflammation I'd be questioning that 100%.

#20 Tue, 06/10/2008 - 12:29pm

Mr MAX - James,

We got it the first time. It is the best stuff in the world. I must buy it. I will start selling "ice" to buy some.

#27 Tue, 06/10/2008 - 4:39pm

You know what was in that dart gun?

Glutathione.

Note the lack of inflammation in the vicinity of said dart. Plus Will Ferrell is moving at peak performance speed, and hence everything and everyone around him appears to be moving in slow motion. Consistent energy (crashes through table without a pause in his stride) and improved sleep (in the pool).

Rock on Will Ferrell.

If a supplement truely works and lives up to its miraculous claims you will find it on WADAs list of banned substances. What works is hard training and dedication. Anything else is either cheating or hype.
