veggies, you sound like a tobacco company.
Any paddler knows paddling is just as hazardous to your health.
1. various shoulder problems
2. back problems (especially when you get t-boned in the waikiki race while steering)
3. divorce because all you do is paddle/spend all money on newest oc-1/hook up with a hot paddler/leave the toilet seat down
4. drinking because your drinking team has a paddling problem.
5. obsession with paddling

I spend all my money on canoes, paddles, paddling clothes, racks, etc. Dont have anything left to buy dinner. Unless women like heed and powerbars??
