Tracrac Truck Cradle/Saddle Setup Options

Looking for some feedback from any of you guys with tracrac setups on your trucks. What kind of OC1 cradle/saddles are you using? I was thinking I could just use options from either Thule or Yakima however I've been told they won't fit. Any truth to this or can it be done? If yes, let me know if it just worked as is or if there was some customization work that needed to be done.

Thanks,
Isamu

The tracrac "t" bolts can be used to secure Yakima Mako saddles-just drill the saddles' mounting base area (centered between existing mounting holes, near outside of base) w/bit large enough for the bolt. Use flat washer under nut. The Yakima saddles also provide some "suspension" on the super stiff tracrac. This is a common application. Contact me via private message if you have any questions.

tracrac makes cradles for canoe/kayaks, look on the tracrac website and look for accessories. I have the tracrac set up, but I just put pads on there, carries four boats, I think with the cradles you can only fit three.

Homemade minicel foam racks cheaper and just as effective.

Shoots! Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at the tracrac site to see what their cradles look like. Didn't find them the first go.

Motiv - Thanks for the yakima mako setup info. If I go that route, I'll be pinging you for sure.
