I think that team is made up of young guys from huahine and the race is a 12 man change race from Tahiti around Moorea and back. A distance of around 86 km or 53 miles, first team usually around six hours.

Mahalo for the response. I've been keeping up with the Tahitian paddlers and I don't recognize any of the names, pretty cool. Is there any way to get ahold of video footage, preferably DVD, of the races in Tahiti, V1, V6, etc...?

Wilfred Ah Min has been paddling for a long time, he's now a va'a shaper. he runs a shop (Va'a Connection), and untill last year he was the coach of Mana He'e.
Paddling connection was created this year, since they are only nine paddlers in this club, The team was completed with René Avaepi and 2 young guys from Vairao for this race.
Mihimana Ah Min is Wilfred's younger brother, he has won several surfski races in tahiti this year.
