The K1 is permanently fixed under the water, don't know exactly why, he just says he prefers it that way. I would have thought being that lower in the water would affect your normal stroke technique. But who am i to argue with the current No 11th in the world.

Since I am the master at analyzing all photos, this one took me a little while but I have figured it out.
"THIS IS YOUR SON!"
I went make and matched to other photos of you. There is no doubt.
1)He has the same serene and relaxed look that you do when paddling
2) He has put a 8 foot mount on his camera and positioned on canoe to get best photo of himself.

Haahaaaaa... arhhh yes Kona J, "we of the squinty faces when paddling", no hiding the fact, there's no denying the connection. What took you so long to figure it out, this is the secret to going fast.
Shawn, forget all the technique stuff, just screw up your face at the catch and you will fly mate. And if that's all too hard, then do what we Aussies do. Cover yourself in Vegemite and you will reel from the stink. What's more it's contagious. Every paddler within cooee will agree with you and mirror your look.
Records will fall, corporate America will take notice, we may finally make the Olympics ....????? ..... Excuse me while i screw up my face.!!!
