Will be there. I started a Google Map with the race location, some nearby restaurants that seemed well rated on Yelp, nearby shops, theatres, etc...

We have had some local sprint races at the venue the last few weeks, it has been VERY hot and there is only limited shade. The water temperature is nice and cool (mountain-fed snow melt), so you can wade in to cool off if needed. Bring sunscreen, a small cooler to keep your water cool, and if the officials are providing tents or shade shelters, great... if not, you may want to bring or rent one locally.
