If you have been wondering how Google captured your Street View then check out the car and camera that drove down every street in most of the world capturing every house from multiple angles ... even yours.
If you don't know what I'm talking about go here http://maps.google.com Click on street view and type in your address and see a zoom able picture of your house from the road.
Scary shit eh.
Cheers Rambo

Haha, saw that a few days ago it was funny.
There was one thing awhile ago to on Street View where a guy passed out in front of his home after a night out and was caught on the Street View Camera. Kinda creepy.

Creepy. I live in a gated city, hopefully they will not be let in. The street view is not on there yet.

I find Google earth/street view very impressive. Why not post certain business and/or personal data that are available on the net inside the street view screen ?
You might browse to someone's front door and look up what he posted on the net that day. In a future version you could knock and he would come out to talk to you via skype and live streaming video.
Naturally, the rambocam will allow you to join Rambo - or anybody else for that matter - live on a downwind run.
Scary/creepy ? - your email/internet activity is scanned and your phone conversations are monitored and on occasions you can assume that the person whom you just had a pleasant conversation with is working for a government agency.
If you think about it - isn't that a rather 'normal' phenomenon ?

Yes Ecky, the GoPros are super wide angle and also up to 5MP from 3MP.
Here's a preview

The report was talking about a 170 degree angle; the 5 mb is even better.
Rambo - did your Hamilton recordings suffer from 3 mb limitations ?

Things are filmed once. Nothing live. They are filming public property. If your naked in the window then maybe close your shades.

Yep, 300% wider than the std lens and little bit more resolution under the belt. I was supposed to be test them here in OZ, but all the local sponsored (USA) team riders got first bite.
Every Yamaha Dealer now stocks GoPro products for MotorSport use.
Hang 5 if anyone is thinking of buying and get the wide angle model.

Now the crooks can case homes from the computer rather than driving through the neighborhood

google has to follow strict privacy guidelines - everything that can identify you or your property must be hidden.
They are having more troubles in Europe because the laws are somewhat different.

This is pretty cool. Found the house I grew up in, old schools, etc.

Google Street Map - you just go somewhere and have a look around - amazing.
In a few years you can sign up to wear a shirt button video camera. The camera will send a live feed of streaming video to an internet server. Audio can be activated if you desire.
On a web page you will be able to search for " Lanikai Park + Longhouse + inside ".
As a result you will see a live video feed from some one on a paddling simulator and hear some heavy breathing.
Technically definitely possible already. But before this will be unveiled we will have to buy a few other generations of need-to-have gadgets.
:), :(.

I've seen the car cruising Maui streets, but have yet to see the street view of the Island.
Have Fun...Kicbacmaui!
