Rambo pumps the adrenaline on a Mission for warp speed and the Ocean provides the ride.

Worth downloading the HQ version on the blog and playing at full screen, i put extra work into this one to lift the quality.

I like the pulse rate in the lower right hand corner. It helps us detect crescendoes.

When Howard Hughes was making his movie "Hell's Angels" (about WWI aviation, not motorcycles), he realized the audience could not perceive speed and movement against a uniformly blank background, that is, without clouds. So he re-did all flight sequences with clouds serving as reference points.

The best parts, I think, of Mission Adrenal, are when we can see reference points (other boats, landmarks), otherwise it is difficult to see when you are on a crest or in a trough and when there are changes in boat speed.

All OC films are good films as far as I'm concerned and more is better. So press on!.

Rambo,

Excellent job. You are really dialing in the sound.

Did we ever get an update on what happened with the Hamilton Island "Super" coverage with multiple cameras on different teams?

KonaJ, Hammo Movie is still in post production, it's a huge editing job with 22hrs of footage, but won't be far away.

Yankee, yep cameras flatten the image some what, but if you play the HQ version in full screen, it definitely puts you in the paddlers seat. Actually, for me, i find myself lifting ama's and cranking on an imaginary paddle while sitting in an arm chair. Anyone else have that interaction??

Dacho, the mount is the standard GoPro Motor-sports Suction mount.

Glad you all enjoyed it.
I'm actually launching a dedicated GoPro users forum soon with heaps of how too's, info and hopefully contributions from all users.

Ok, i've finally got the heart rate/ GPS/Speed interface to be able to be projected into the video in real time. What this means is you will be able to see all the vitals as the happen. Should be on the next movie.

BTW, i have footage of a big fast guy (6'8" 110kg) on the same run as above and same Camera position but riding a Pahoa.

Interesting seeing the comparison of how the two different canoes/paddlers handle the bumps.

Cheers Rambo
