JAYBIRD
Hey Terry, I didn't know OHCRA sponsored Na Wahine O Ke Ka'i. You might want to check that out. The Na Wahine Committee gets real upset sometimes, specially Auntie Hannie.

Aloha Jaybird, It is a special production presented by the Na wahine o ke kai and the Oahu Hawaiian canoe racing association. Thanks for that Jaybird, you are 100% correct. I posted late after a long weekend! I hope everyone watches!

When - 10-10-08

Is OC-16 available online? And how do I get to see some other episode other than episode 4 of oceanpaddler.tv?

#5 Tue, 10/07/2008 - 10:34am

Ocean Paddler TV is in the process of changing our website so those of you who want to watch all the shows on line can.

As far as the na wahine, ZON3LLC, which is the parent media production company of Ocean PADDLER tv, was hired by the Na wahine o ke kai and OCHRA to put together the show on the Na wahine. This show is not a part of the ocean paddler tv series. I will find out for you if there is a way to watch it on line...and if it will be on our web-site at some point!

catdailey, you can watch current shows online at the OC16 website at: http://www.oc16.tv/

it streams live, so you have to watch it as the same time it is being shown on tv.

Windows Media player is no longer supported for Mac OS X and besides, it's ugly as sin and very unMac like.

Flip4Mac is free and allows Quicktime to display Windows Media streams, files, etc. Highly recommended.

The newest version (2.2.1) will let you watch the stream from oc16.tv Terry mentioned in the Thoughts/Rumors thread. Yay!

Also, you just need to free plugin, the other versions are allow you to do more (e.g. conversion between formats), but for just watching the free one is all you need.

#14 Fri, 10/10/2008 - 9:41pm

Excellent job!
Show was amazing. Incredible. I absolutely loved it.

#15 Sat, 10/11/2008 - 9:19am

It was great to watch (even on my little laptop screen from a living room in CA). When you're racing, you're focused on your performance, your crew, your surroundings, your competition.

Wonderful to get to see the experience from outside the canoe. I thought the show did a great job of covering the event, and also capturing some of the incredible women and history that make this race something special. I would have liked to see even more up close of the top crews' stroke and steering - for inspiration as well as education, but I'm guessing that those who watched this full screen on TV could see that better.

As an idea, I think it would be incredible to see a 'History of Na Wahine' with footage and photos from over the years, the voices of some of the women who pioneered the event, stories of epic adventures, etc. That would definitely be a video worth buying!

Great work on this one!

I will get the repeat dates and times for you all..Thanks for the support. Alex worked his hinny off on this one for sure. Na wahine o ke kai and OHCRA made it possiable for you all to have a special.

The winds have picked up here and tomorrows race should be awesome. I am going to try to post updates as the race goes on via OCPADDLER! I am hoping to post every hour or so. We will have several film guys and the helo filming.

Valerie, we need to get you a dvd so you can watch the full show. The history, and voices of the women who pioneered the event were on. Sadly it was only a 30 minute show. I belive that the Na wahine o ke kai folks will be selling the dvd.

Mahalo again everyone, as an fyi, the new episode of ocean paddler TV started this past Tuesday. It is so good!! I think it is our best one yet. If you are interested in advertising or have an event you want us to cover..email me at terry@oceanpaddler.tv
