23rd Annual AJ McDanold Long Distance Race

Come join us for a morning of fun and competition!

When: Sunday, August 22nd, 2004

Where: Beautiful Keauhou Bay

What: A long distance race for OC-1, OC-2, V-1s and Surfskis with a special division for older canoes like Thunders, Arrows, Kaiwi Challengers, etc. (exact age/boat TBD)

How much: $25 includes entry fee, race t-shirt and ono kine lunch.

Details: Registration from 7:30-8:30am
Race Meeting at 8:45am
Race start at 9:00am

Course: Short Course: 4 miles (Keauhou to Kahaluu & return)
Long Course: 8 miles (Keauhou to Casa de Emdeko & return)

Divisions: Short Course starts at 9:00 a.m. for OC-1, OC-2, Surfskis & V-1,
Men: Novice B (1st year only), Kupuna 55+, Kupuna Nui 60+, V-1, Juniors 15-20, OC-2
Women: Novice B (1st year only), All age groups in decades, V-1, Juniors 15-20, OC-2
Mixed: OC-2

Long Course: starts 15 minutes after completion of short course (approximately 10:30 a.m.)
Women: OC-1 & Surfski/ Age Groups in decades, OC-2
Men: OC-1 & Surfski/ Age Groups in decades, OC-2
Mixed: OC-2

Each age group division requires 3 entries in that division to receive awards, otherwise will be combined with next lower age group.

Note: All Hawaii Island Paddlesport Association rules will apply.
