Rio Va'a

Is anyone going to Rio early? I would like someone to hang out with until the rest of crew shows up.

How early are you going?!

I can tell my friends from Rio Va'a Canoe Club to make you company....

I didn't buy my ticket yet, but I'm going......
But I don't want to go much earlier.... better spend a few days after, and don't worry about racing next day.... =)

I'll see you there....

We have two crews from Kamehameha signed up for the race, a mixed crew and an open mens' crew. Most of us are getting to Rio several days before the race and some are staying a week or so after. I was in the race back in 2003 with another Hawaii Crew and we had a blast...

I don't have a crew, nether 2 more friends from Maui that are coming with me..... But since this year is the second South America Va'a Cup, we can participate on the OC1 and OC2 competitions during the first day.... and see if we get a time to paddle on sunday's OC6 distance race....

I've been trying to convince friends to come, so we could make a mix crew or so.... but I don't think so....

I went on 2006, and it was very fun, it was the first Va'a Cup they had, and I paddled for Rio Va'a C.C.

Aloha =)

It looks like one of our steersmen can't make it, so ... if any of you are looking for an OC-6 contact Rudy (link above) or myself & we'll fill you in on our details!
