Hi, anybody with personal feedback about the Garmin 405 please post! I have a 305 and have loved it except for one thing: the fact that sometimes my computer won't recognize it. It used to be a matter of keeping the connection plates on the back squeaky clean i.e. using a pencil eraser on them each and every time before connecting. Now I can't get teh computer to recognize it at all. Still love it for what it can do but if the 405 is smaller and has a better track record of connecting the computer I might want to spend the $$$ to upgrade. Thanks all........gg

405 is pretty cool and slick but I liked 305 better...seems more rugged and durable. The bezel thing in 405 is neat but at times are pretty difficult to operate. While the 305 looks like you are wearing a TV on your wrist, it makes it easy to see the display. Satellite-detection wise i find no crazy improvement with the 405. I would say for paddling and stuff 305 is better and 405 is good for running.
