Hawaiki Nui

Hows it Hiro...

Big week next week. What's the haps in Tahiti right now? Anything big being planned for Hawaiiki Nui?? Hows the press down there, Shell all the way?? Any talk on Team Hawaii coming down?

Must be exciting. I bet the entire country gearing up for Hawaiiki Nui. If someone was planning on going down to experience the race, what would you commend one do to get the full experience of Hawaiki Nui?? (besides following all the legs in a poti marara).

Register and Race !
You'll live eat sleep with paddlers from other teams for 6 days.
Bring a pocket TV to watch the TV shows in the evening.
Be in Huahine from the saturday before the race. You'll see the canoes arriving by boat, the weighting, the billfishing tournament on monday...
Make friends. Share.
And when reaching Matira beach in Bora, drink plenty of Hinano !

Thanks Hiro...

If I was going down there, I certainly wouldn't be registering to paddle, to old for that already.

But the Hinano's sound good....also, I hear the ladies like to go topless too. That sounds like fun as well.

Gotta make it down there one day. Hope you guys have a great time next week and go team Hawaii. I hope they can break the top five this year.

Jaws Out.
