How do you bracket a you.tube url in html to get it to show up in a post?

Mauruuruu! We love the Tahitian videos. They keep us warm up here in the cold. Who are the musicians?

Tahitian689's DVD's are frickin unreal. Has the same affect as surf videos, you watch it, absorb, and want to paddle, even on the flattest days. Lately been on V-1 due to the videos trying out what I've watched.

Videos has sick soundtrack and gets me motivated!

Hopefully it gives you real desire to come to Hawaiki Nui

#21 Thu, 11/06/2008 - 7:50pm

Desire's there, funding isn't. Its on the list of goals to check off.

With enough time and enough money you could travel the world... and do any race.

The first time I heard of this race I was 19 and thought why would anyone want to go do 3 races on consecutive days in flat hot water. I look at these videos and I rack my brain trying to find a way to get down there.

man (o) man . great video's... The snow is on the mountains up here in Canada, and its great just to watch the sunny races. Thanks.

Awesome Tahitian689....Awesome!! Hawaiiki Nui, gotta be there. Video's were great. One suggestion....little bit more of those tahitian bronze goddesses like the one in the yellow bikini. Caught some glimpses, but a few more wouldn't hurt.

BTW, that video you posted on Ah Tak building the wood strip boat....how did the boat perform in the race?? If it belonged to EDT, then I assume it did fantastic....was just wondering about the boat. It was a beautiful boat.

EDT is a new team the boys just trainning together 2 month, expect jason ori trainning only the saturday with the team and the last 2 weeck before the race.
so on the post 3 and 4 was jason and taaroa dubois (still junior) for the captain post they don't have really experience. it will be for the next year, the objectif more time for trainning this post to be excellent.
The team like the va'a, but AH TAK is not satisafied and going to make a new one for the next year.

tahtitian 689....what aspect of the boat was Ah Tak not pleased with?? Crap, EDT kick okole in the boat....why was Ah Tak not happy?? Want it to surf better?? Any idea??

Only in tahiti....not happy, then make another boat. With the cost of Red Cedar, I cannot believe he is going to whip up another boat. EDT pay for it?? if so, then you guys electric bills going up.....

With the price of petrol, electric bills have already gone up !

Mahalo nui loa for the videos Tahitian689 !

#33 Wed, 11/12/2008 - 12:47pm

Ah Tak want to change the rocker for more surf, he going to make a new one for the faati moorea. the va'a need to surf and claimb up wind.
but before to make the EDT va'a, he'll finish the va'a for PADDLING CONNECTION.
i know Ah Tak was making for PADDLING CONNECTION first, but EDT have the money so the paddler from PADDLING CONNECTION work with Ah Tak for finish the EDT va'a, and they didn't finish there va'a for hawaiki nui.
PADDLING CONNECTION are a little club , just some friends with Wilfred AH MIN (champion with pirae va'a) They finish there va'a and they make the new one for EDT.

Mahalo 689...maybe when Ah Tak starts the new EDT boat, maybe you can shoot some video's again. I would, and I bet the rest of this forum, would love to see another clip from you.

Tahitian689 and Hiro,

I was also wondering if there is a limit to the number of crews the Hawaika Nui can handle. All of the communication and videos from Tahiti have really got alot of people talking and planning for down the road. You had a record 82 crews this year. I was wondering in terms of sleeping arrangements/travel/ and escort boats available. Could Tahiti handle 100 or more crews?

Molokai two years ago had 118 crews. I don't know if there is a limit to the Molokai race, but I imiagine if it got up to 125 they would require escort boats and crews to load up at the harbor in town rather than start site.

Mahalo
