Ohana Paddles

Last time I was in Kona, I saw wooden paddles called Ohana paddles. They looked beautiful and was wondering if anyone has used them and how they were. I realized that the head of the paddles looked bigger than regular paddles?

Zephyr Questions

I have a zephyr OC-1. When and if it were necessary to change out the steering cables, how is that done? Does the rear plate come off? How do you get them through the hull? Also the black inserts coming out of the hull at the pedals, can they be changed out? I noticed the cable movement is slicing through them. thanks

Herman,
High-jacking the Ohana paddle topic is totally OUT OF CONTROL. I wish Keizo would moderate these forums.

Hi! My name is Kalani Delovio, the builder of Ohana Paddles. where did you see my paddle? I have a few at 3P's (Palinesian Paddling Products) in Kona also. The shop keeper's name is Sue Lalane You could ask her about the paddle. Or you might contact Mesepa Tanoai, and Tbert who are top paddlers here with kaiopua canoe club. they are using and helping me design some of the paddles.
If you would like to ask me any questions about my products, you can write me here, and also at ohana.paddles@Gmail.com. I look at my gmail daily.
Aloha,
Kalani
