It also looks cool until you see 4 guys in speedos showing you their rear end. You can also see how big their balls are to do that stuff!

This is the norm in rough water. When I used to surf, I would watch these guys train in this stuff all the time. I have witness some hairy regattas just like in the footage.
alot of Australian Outrigger paddlers have a Surf Life Saving background.
Having to wear the funny hat thing and...budgie smugglers and having them driven up your crack when you row.... put me off...ok and the crazy surf too.
