Long time no Goto ?

Submitted by painteur on Sun, 12/21/2008 - 10:33am

He quit outrigger. It's strictly dragon boating, Star Wars conventions, and world of warcraft for him nowdays.

Last I heard , he was heading to Florida to take up golf.

I'm glad you got rid of that homo-erotic avatar, Fuze. It just didn't jibe w/ your hard core right-wing politics.

#3 Sun, 12/21/2008 - 4:38pm

Its always the right wingers that get caught in the public bathrooms. But hey, if it wasn't for Republicans, we would lose most of our fodder for humor.

well if you goto go, you goto go.

Maybe he hit the Lotto and flew to Tahiti and is pulling under a assumed name.

Goto
That's what is missing. Hopefully he is on Holiday and will be back.

There's a Tight Shirt Wearer's Convention in Tennessee for like 3 weeks. He's there so he hasn't been able to post. I hear its quite a big thing. One of Tennessee's economy's biggest boosters. Without it they'd be like New Jersey or something.

Poo Poo,

You are right. I am at the convention as well. Goto is like a rockstar here.

He is leading some breakout sessions and giving some talks on topics like-

"Combining Tight Shirts with Kick-Ass Shades(sunglasses)"

"When traveling to Tahiti, How tight?"

"Australia! Tight Shirts and Wild Colors-Finding the Perfect balance!"

#8 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 6:33am

Additional Break-out sessions just added-

"If you don't like the guns, Don't look-Dealing with Haters"

"Tight T-shirt vs. Tight Muscle/Sleeveless Shirt-Walking the fine line"

"Novice/Newbie Topic: Just Do It-Throw out your loose tank tops!"

#9 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 7:05am

When you're only 5'2", you have no choice but to pump up the guns.

#10 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 7:09am

what about shawn michael, he kindof dissapeared when that guy called him a tool.

#11 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 5:56pm

and where is our skipper, Master of Coast Guard Rules and Regulations and conscientious promoter of water safety for us numb-nuts.

#12 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 6:15pm

#13 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 9:43pm

Wow things must be slow in OC land.

#14 Tue, 12/23/2008 - 9:58pm

Merry Cristmas.

what about shawn michael, he kindof dissapeared when that guy called him a tool.

He sold his Fusion, given up OC-1 and is now doing SUP. Saw him posting on some SUP Forums a while back. I think it was on www.standupzone.com that I saw him posting on. If you miss reading his posts, click the link below.

I can see it on a T-Shirt now.....

"Serial posters never die....long live the Lurkers!"

#17 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 2:45am

mahatmark is the ONE poster we can do with out. Did shawn M really go over to the dark side?

#18 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 5:26am

I think oc1s are just too small for him. He had an 18 ft. SUP board made, which is 50% bigger than most.

#19 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 6:46am

If OCP is starting to boring for you people, you don`t have long to wait for some good commentary from me to liven things up around here .

I feel a bad dose of cabin fever coming on soon and when that happens , OCP becomes fun to read again so , stand by .....

<((((">

#20 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 7:03am

Looking forward to it.

Click the link I posted and you will see his posts on that SUP forum.

It wasn't that OC1's were too small for him, it was his wide hipbones that were hurting him so much on long runs. Could have been made better by getting a Kaimana or Polaris since those two canoes don't have the high enclosed cockpit/gunwhales that the Fusion has. Who knows, he may get back into OC-1 if he can find one that won't be hard on his hipbones.

18 feet was a compromise to get it to fit inside his garage. The board maker recommended making a 20+ board for his size/weight.

#22 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 7:58am

Maybe he should get a non-cockpit boat, like a hurricane, and just make a big ol' foam seat.

#23 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 8:32am

Yeah cause that wont look funny. Like a bear riding a tricycle. You know people if you cant find a used boat to buy, look at the guys who already own boats and convince them into getting a new boat and sell their old boat to you.

Your old boats still hold value that can be converted into cash for your down payment. Its great if you trade up boats every year or so if you think about it, because the value of your boat doesn't drop to much, so the turn around doesn't dip to much in to the pockets.

#24 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 9:58am

too bad for shawn and the stand up thing. it can be fun on occasion. but the majority are soooo much slower than a canoe.

in regards to trading up canoes, you can just get someone else to buy a boat that you can borrow. that way no need to buy.

Let it rip Fuzey,

Cabin Fever ...??? OK some hot weather paddling videos coming your way soon

Of course shot from Space, stabilized with Gyros from the Hubble Scope, driven by 120 piece orchestration etc ... only the best for Fuzey ..hahaha

Rambo

#26 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 11:32am

as long as we're talking about missing posters...what happened to eckfart?

#27 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 11:40am

Haha, I totally could see shawn moving to SUP. He seemed like the fanatical type that gets super into something and then just drops it and gets into something else. Guess he is kinda a tool. Never figured out to use his legs that one.

#28 Wed, 12/24/2008 - 12:29pm

Well, we beat you, Santa has been, dropped off his goodies, now paddling his way over to the states. 9.45am on 25/12/2008.
Merry Christmas.@#$%.

My theory about Goto is that he joined a trappist monastery. As a contemplative order, the Trappists live a life of prayer and penance. The day of a Trappist is divided between work and prayer. Manual work is preferred over other types of work. Except for the ill, they abstain from meat and fowl and eat fish on a limited basis. They are expected to REMAIN SILENT throughout the day and most ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. They are expected to live a life of strict personal poverty with few personal possessions and limited contact with the outside world.
See what I mean!
They will generally only speak when necessary, and idle talk is strongly discouraged.
Not a peep lately!
The Trappists have received greater attention in recent years, because of the popularity of Trappist ales such as Chimay.
Bingo!!!! That’s the clincher for me right there! He's gone to the liquid side in a silent way.
Just to make sure I checked with my paisano Benedikt’s outfit at the Vatican. You can go to the secret archives:
