Just been brain storming about races that would be fun, was wondering what kinds of races everyone would like to paddle in
Also if there are people here who have hosted races, what are some important steps that should be focused on?

Stage race as in bike racing. Downwind stage, upwind stage, sprint stage, flat water stage. See who takes the overall. Be interesting to see if the same couple of paddlers would dominate every stage.

The Tahitians came over last year and hosted this sweet rudderless race. It was in surf contest format triangle course, with four man heats. The four races started on the water raced the triangle and then came into the beach and ran up to the finish line. Top two advance to next round. It was a lot of fun.

i would love to see a swim, run, paddle race here on oahu.there is the kukio race on the big island and hilo had one in november. it was so much fun.it would be a great fund raiser for a canoe club.

We help because we want too not because we have too. Red's rumble on the reef. but nobody posted anything about the race except the results.
