Your gonna get a bunch of people saying they like to listen to the water etc. Which I usually do. But if you like listening to music while you paddle listen to something thats gonna pump you up but also something that you like.
I like some stuff by The Expendables, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, AC/DC, and some other stuff. But thats just me.
To each their own.
I think theres a few threads on this also if you search around...
Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs
The Zoot
Easybeats
Matt Taylor & Chain (especially the song "Grab a snatch an' hold it ")
Anything from the Movie "Morning of the Earth"
Split Enz
Australian Crawl
Had it on a bunch of Maliko runs (a couple were pretty wild conditions), and I am definitely the limiting factor, not the canoe. Switched with a local paddler on one of the runs, they were pleasantly surprised, what with its rep as a flat water boat, said it ran as well as theirs.
glass,
im with you on Rage. only thing is that no boat better be close because oc-1 becomes a contact sport when listening to Rage. it pumps you up for sure.
Thanks mulus, could you believe I learned english with ACDC ? I just let you figure the face of my english teacher when I brought the lyrics at school, asking for a translation for some words I couldn't find in my dictionnary !!!
Wanna tell you a story

Kden, so what kind waterproof MP3 player you paddlers use for listen to all the music out in the ocean? Anybody use that Nu Technology Dolphin MP3, which the swimmers use for swim and listen under water when doing their pieces?
google h2oaudio... housing and earphones for ipods.
or,
Any cheap mp3 player connected to cheap speakers, volume to the max and put everything in a waterproof tupperware, then attach it to your canoe/ski/va'a and enjoy...
Mahalos Hiro, but I stay looking for something I can clip to my Kaenon's and just listen while going bridge to bridge. That's why I was wondering if anybody get experience using either the 1 gig or 2 gig waterproof Dolphin MP3's?
The Kids live with them MP3 and head phone so I asked my 18 year old and she told me the ones that stay in you ear and has some base and cost 10$ and I got a 30$ MP3 and stick it under my cap and if they get wet its not so bad. when I tip I'm like a cat my head winds up above the water some how.so ya ,, ask the kids
Alright Mulus, I also when watch the video now, and the kids heard it in their bedroom while doing homework, so they came out for check out what I was listening too. They watch to the end and said it was "very interesting." I never ask them about MP3, because I no like get their hopes up that I going get them iPod Touch. That's all they like and been bugging me before Xmas. So I'm with you for cheap player because the Dolphin start around $89 USD.
