I'm in heaven, for this video says it all. This is what offshore paddling is all about. So for those people who always ask what the heck you do out in the ocean, please show them a copy of this video, for it is just outstanding, even if there was equipment failure. I loved it....................mahalo nui.
Its funny too how much bigger it seems when your there but that day was nuts. Sitting out there waiting for everyone to get into the water. Just getting in the water. The black boat they showed with the racks on the sides was completely full with about a dozen canoes by the end of the race. Great video footage though, hope whoever that as is there again this year.
I loved the sound of the wind in the background. Usually that noise bugs me, but in this video it really set the tone of what the day must have been like. Keep them coming! Your love of outrigger really shows!
