Just wanted to know if anyone has had good results from maoliwaa paddles. Seem like great paddles but we all know how ordering from across the way can sometime be. Delivery time? Product quality? etc. I would really like to find a good quality all wood double bend since my classic savage river broke last year. Tried others- do not like them How are the Tahitians doing?

I cannot speak for the delivery system but have had several Tahiti Rame paddles and they are the Sh**. very comfortable for me and have had no problems as of yet. Alot of people here in Kona use them and like them but yes, getting them from Tahiti can be rough.

I got one and then another. They are good. Big blades. I hear a lower shoulder one is coming out.
My friend broke one but knowing him it was the fact he was steering with it on a 4 ft wave in a 6 man from 5 seat... hahahaha
I like the: catch. cleanest of any paddle I got. Weight- not too light but not too heavy either.
If you get the Va'a Tahiti book that just came out you'll see it in every other pic.

island paddler has some all wood double bends. i just picked up a tahiti rames double bend on tuesday. its sick.
