goat hunting, ATVs, salmonella PBJs, minty fresh jacuzzi with a side of dark chocolate limu (ew), fly-n-ha-y-n's comeback of a lifetime, queso playing flippy cup, plunger
Mahalo to the Moloka'i families that helped with the journey; Mahalo to the Kalama's and Kimble's trailering the canoes, transportation, and guidance while exiting the "crazy" Kepuhi beach shore pound. Mahalo to Uncle Adolph and Dave for also transporting canoes. Mahalo Greg "Doc" Davis for the escort with such short notice and making sure everyone made it to Moloka'i safe. Mahalo to Jimmy Austin for housing an interesting bunch of paddlers.
Mahalo to God for keeping us all alive, not running into whales, and providing a "sick" surf run all the way to Kaunakakai Wharf.
Without the Aloha of these people, the second leg wouldn't be possible.
Yeah Bamski!
Thank you for remember every and each good hearted person that helped us all during that weekend.
And BIG MAHALO to all you guys "Kamanu Composites/ Pueo Odyssey" for letting me go with you on this fun adventure. I really enjoyed to be around you guys, meet new paddlers friends, having fun on Molokai and on the ocean.
In regards to Kekoa Cramers OC-1, what other canoe would take a set wave on the head get thrown over the falls, stern hitting the sand, and resulted with minor cracks and not a single leak while paddling the Ka'iwi Channel. Kekoa got more dinged up than his OC-1. It says volumes about the people laying up the OC-1's. All I can say is, "Made In Hawaii" is the way to go. Any other canoe would have broken in half, especially China constructed OC-1's.
Fun.
Long.
Big waves at Kaluakoi.
