I like the ama on the right, for it makes sense to let the conditions of the sea determine the location of the ama. There is no taboo against it - just habit. So on a ama popping kona day, go switch the ama to the right and remove the weights. More better then go huli?

that steering blade is my proto type.. he won the buffalos surf meat with it .. but we are going to make it just a hair smaller but hes love that blade.. he finally beat uncle Mel Puu.. in the finals which is a hard task to do.. :)
