4 man lightweight tahitian style canoe

Was wondering if there is a 4 man canoe out there that is light weight and tahitan style? Often times in club practice some of our guys are MIA. Would be nice to still get out there with a light weight canoe and do some laps or maybe a downrun.

How about a 3 man?

Pretty sure this was built in a backyard in Tahiti but it is awesome. I think there are a few out there now that are being somewhat more widely produced...

Mark Raaphorst at SIC makes a pretty cool light weight Hawaiian style 4-man... Never seen one, but his SUPs are really well made.

I was came across that when I was looking at downwind SUP's... Thought it looked kinda cool until I saw the price tag... I would really like to find something used, or go into a purchase as some kind of partnership. The Makaha from OC looks really cool, too. If anyone has an OC-4 they want to unload or just need someone with no talent to paddle with them, let me know... I'm game.

Talk to Kapono at Maoli Wa'a. He's got a 3-man va'a being imported from New Zealand. Looks like tons of fun.

Thanks for the info. The four man "malana" seems ideal.

We got 3 3-man's coming in soon.
Let me know... some are already going to the East Coast. Sharing shipping is good.
