Lolo Channel

Pretty much everyone on this site knows what "The Channel" refers to, the Kaiwi between Molokai and Oahu. One of the toughest stretches of water that a paddler can test themselves against.
Memorial Day weekend Debmaui and I took a trip over to a stretch of water even wilder than the Kaiwi, "The Channel" in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Considering that its the craziest stretch of water that we've seen, we've renamed it the "Lolo Channel".
And yes, we did paddle it.
Photo is Deb gazing in wonderment.

That's not a parking lot, it's a junk yard.

I like the term "water lice"

Jibofo, you gotta show some open water shots now man ...

You know the kine, Jet skis jumping boat wakes 4' off the stern even though there is a taught wakeboard line in use.

Cigarette boats going 60 and cranking turns though the no-wake zone.

Hopefully you can include the misc. radio battles going on amongst the yelling and police sirens too.

pog

onno
Sounds like you've been there, your description is spot on. Just left out more beer bongs, silicone, and pasties then you've ever seen in one place.

I think I was there once ... but just going by experience on Mission and S.D. bays .... total kaos.

Didn't mention because I was hoping you were gonna send all that other stuff to me in the mail ... LOL.

pog

Pasties would equate to Eve's leaves.

What Jibofo meant. The pic was probably taken from an earlier Memorial Day weekend at the Lolo Channel. :)

Google Image search and you'll see better ones.
