Artist - Citizen Cope
Song - Son's Gonna Rise

yea yea yea
Rollin' down the highway
Like a rocket
God I'm headed to town now
Can't stop it
With the wheels in my hand
As I stand
On the floor of the board of this car on the road

Got this woman in the back seat
She's my wifey
In the middle of delivery
Man she save me
To this day I don't know why
She picked me up
When I was down on the road with the wind when it blowed

(Chorus Twice)
Well the son's gonna rise in a mile
In a mile you'll be feeling fine
In a mile you will see
After me
You'll be out of the dark
Yeah you'll get your shot, yeah

(Repeat Verse)

(Chorus Twice)

Ahhhh, I fondly remember this episode when I was a teen. Being new to the sport, I don't know the history of canoe and surfski design. What the heck is that wing on the front of his ski. Was it meant to prevent your nose from diving to deep in a wave?

yea, keeps the ski from pearling in the surf, also helps keep it on top of the wave when going out through the surf too. Can only find them on spec skis

I am positive that the surfski is the old Hayden that first came to hawaii back when. I had one of those, my very first surfski. In the old days you could order the haydens as a kit....you put it together, or you could order it all put together as well. I bought the kit and put it together myself. It worked well.

Jaws, I think you're right. I can't tell for sure if it's a Hayden surfski, but it does have the "hammer head" wing that the Hayden's had. I surfed on one around 1980/1981 at Canoes, and it helped keep the nose from pearling.
