Concerning the rear iako to outrigger connection on my Stingray OC-2: How do I know what position it must be in to insure that the boat is level with both paddlers in it? Thanks for any help.

Sorry. I meant to say ama, not outrigger. I correct my girlfriend all the time. I'm an Eastcoaster, but learning.

Just sit on the canoe on calm water. Canoe should sit level. More it leans towards the ama, the more stable, but also the more drag. You want as little pressure on the ama as you are comfortable with.
Whoever is paddling on the right needs to be able to brace quickly and smoothly. Popping the ama is no big thing, stay relaxed, whoever is on the right braces if it gets too high.
Practice flying it. An hour or two practice on flat water and flying the ama should be drama free.
