I live in Waikiki, and have taken a couple lessons but now I want to get my own equipment,

I'll second WetFeet as a great place to go, and also offer up Jim Hayes at Tropical Blends on Queen, just Ewa of Ward. He's a super guy, too. Don't rule out Craigslist or Y2Kanu classifieds either... Good luck!

Go to paddlesurf in waipio...go see blane or austin. The boards are the best around and priced well...

Sam's Club Keeaumoku St. Right at the entrance (can't miss it) there's a brand new 12 ft. long SUP for $999. Includes paddle, pad, leash, and skeg.

10' 6" wide All Arounder from Paddle Surf Hawaii. I believe you can get them from Mauka to Makai, maybe Wet Feet or directly from the PSH store in Waipio. Agree with PakeChris- Austin and Blaine are real "stand-up" guys in every sense.
