Amazing Kids!

Check out a couple neat stories in our paddling community.

Boo (age 12) and Hannah (age 14) paddle to raise cancer awareness and money to hopefully find a cure. The two will be taking on the Missouri 340 Aug 4-7. The 340 mile race is the world's longest non-stop river race, starting in Kansas City and ending in St Charles. Impressive. Here's a link to Boo's blog website. You can get to their donation page on the Susan B Komen site from there...

Here's another story about a 7-year old Kai E Hitu paddler in Kona who was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Ruth & her family will be going to Camp Sunshine, a camp/retreat for children with life threatening illnesses. The fundraiser mentioned in the article is pau but I'm sure the community's support & aloha would still be much appreciated!
