Has anyone used one of these new pressurized hydration packs with anything other than water? Im curious how you would clean out the balloon?? Thanks for any input.

ill talk to steve cole tomorrow and after the napali challenge ill get back to you on that. they seem to work really good and keep your water cold for a long time. not only that you can shoot the guy in the boat next to you with it

Pressurized hydration systems have been around for quite a while. I remember bike mounted systems about 15 years ago. Sold several through my shop. They worked as advertised but never caught on.

thanks tnhale. Had a long, hard practice today and I only used water because I didnt want to mess up the balloon. Lets just say im gonna figure out a way to put something more than water in there. On the upside, the bag worked great. Totally stoked and id recommend it to anyone.

I've got one and like it. But be patient--the drinking is different than what you do with Camelbak-type---minor, minor adjustment to make, but when you get used to it you will like the Kole'Gear system.
They are also coming out with slightly larger outside diameter drink hoses that will stay inside the belt clips better than original, which tended to slip out of the clips. (I got mine at OHCRA's on July 19, and they had the larger diameter by states in Hilo on 8/1.).
No thoughts on cleaning the balloon (orig question).

ok jpi so i talked with steve and he told me that to clean out the balloon was to wash it out with water, but then he told me that the second time you have to create an air bubble in the balloon while its upside down, and then squeeze out the baloon so that no water gets trapped inside and to hang the balloon upside down so that it can totally dry and mildew dosent get inside. and he said if yo use anything else than water to repeat the process about three to four times. and he said to shake it with the water inside. hopefully that made sense
