Bud Hohl of SCORA has been sending out stories of the origins of paddling in CA from Hawaii.. We compiled it and put it up on our club site. Check it out it's a great read.

Indeed it is a "great read." Mahalo for posting it, however, I'm curious about the "fiberglass copies of the Malia canoe" as mentioned in the link? How these "copies" came about should be an interesting story in itself?
