Who will be the fastest team at the Hamilton Island Cup?

[i]The 5 fastest Open Mens outrigger teams in the world will be going head to

This is first time these 5 top international teams will compete together for the first time in sprints, iron and changeover racing formats. The team that wins here will rightly be able to claim the title as the World's Faster Outrigger Team.

The teams are:

RAI TAHITI - Winners of Molokai 2002.

SHELL VA'A TAHITI - Winner of Hawaiki Nui 2002 and current Tahitian champions.

OUTRIGGER AUSTRALIA - 10 times winner of the Hamilton Cup. 2nd at Australian National Titles 2003

IKIAKA AUSTRALIA - Winners Australian National Titles 2003. 3rd Molokai 2002.

See you here for the clash of the year!

is someone voting more than once? :? I need to fix that.
Guys please don't vote multiple times. Even if you really really think that team will win. I can see what you're doing! I'll be working on a fix.

I should have said thanks a lot Keizo. Actually i didn't realise this was a hawaiian site..or is it?. I am a canadien passionate about tahiti and va'a & hoe are all about tahiti. I have been searching the web for "live" info about the Hamilton cup but got frustrated lol. I guess i got "wasted'" with the recent coverage of the Billabong pro of Teahupoo with hours long "live video" from the famous spot. l 8)

Mauruuru Keizo for keeping the flame alive. I got this ocpaddler on my favorite list now.
nana like they say in tahiti.

The fastest female team may well be Pittwater Open Womens from Sydney Australia. Any boat that Vick & Loz are in will definitely ROCK.

Just curious why a race that was run & won 3 years ago is attracting attention ?? .... it was a great race, but alas the Tahitians didn't take home the gold !!!! ... They had a commentator on the media boat sending race descriptions throughout the 42k, which was being broadcast live to the whole of Tahiti.. now that's taking your paddling seriously !!!! ......The Harv
