Mooloolaba and Outrigger Australia are the main contenders from Australia coming up against Kai Opua from Hawaii.
Mooloolaba have made a clean sweep of every marathon race this season, not only in the open division but also in masters. They will be hard to beat both in the 16km and the 42km. Mooloolaba won the Gold Coast Cup 45km changeover race earlier this year by an impressive 15 minutes, second overall went to their masters crew which shows an incredible amount of depth in this club. Outrigger Australia from the Gold Coast was 3rd across the line.
