Does anyone know if you can do the long course if you have only raced one year in the short course? What if you can go as fast as some of the long course guys? The long course routes look a lot more fun w/ more surfing in the first three races.

I would email John Emerson if you're asking about Kanaka i kaika rules. I'm sure it depends on your last year's placing in short course, years on a one man, and possibly one of the long course guys vouching for you.
