pressure dent from straps

this question is more for those who lay-up onemans or repair em. i just noticed a pressure point dent from someone tightening the strap on my oneman to my car. it's about 3 inches long but pretty shallow. i was wondering if this should be cause for concern (structural integrity compromised) or is it just cosmetic?

hey i was reading your concern for your boat. i work at kais shop out in waimanalo i help lay up boats and suff all the small things. i don't really know how to repair boats yet but it kinda depends how deep it is and where it is if its in the hull there is a stringer there to maybe back it up. if the ding gets bigger it can eventually make the carbon weaker and your boat could crumple. it won't cost you any money to bring your boat down to waimanalo you can ask anyone who's there at the shop what they think you should do. if the ding is soft there probably is some damage to the carbon but if its hard there might not be any problem. my advice is bring it down and see what one of the other shop workers think.

what Kind of boat is it? Who made it? preasure dents from straps are only common in sum what soft boats, that is why i ask who made it. I have an old robello hydroski andI have cranked my straps down supper supper tight and nothing . Some time sit flexes, but when i take the straps off it pops right back . Just dont tighten your straps so much, it not really much to worry about. However if the spot is softer then the surrounding sections you will need to get it repaird
