paddling in new zealand

I'm thinking about studying abroad in new zealand for one semester and trying to choose a school to go to, and all the schools seem so similiar that i think i'm gong to end up basing it only on location i think. Could someone from new zealand tell me where the best paddling is? Also whens the paddling season take place? My choices are Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, and Aukland, which city is best? thanks a lot, can either respond in the post or email me at Levslin07@mckenna.edu.

Malo Luke, I currently paddle in Auckland, NZ, thought Id give you some info about paddling in NZ, there are probably a few things you'll want to take into account, time of year is important, if your coming to NZ November to May you'll be in NZ summer, warm, long days and alot of paddling, if you come in NZ winter altough theres going to be paddling, its going to be cold especially the further south you go, I paddle year round in Auckland, it gets pretty cold here over winter but nothing like Christchurch or Dunedin.
There are paddling teams throughout NZ so shouldn't be a problem where you decide to go, personally I'd go for Auckland, its the least cold of the 4 cities you listed and there are more clubs here than anywhere, Dunedin is student party capital but I dont know how many clubs are down that way, hope this helps, let me know if you need more info
