Hi tevaetua,
are you racing? Any chance you know how I could get a hold of results, or reports from the race?

Hi Keizo,
no i'm not racing but i'm following a team during the race (i have the opportunity to be in the staff boat). If you want a day race report, i think you could get it on this site

thanks Tevaetua, we'll be watching both sites, probably the tahiti press one more since they have it in english. They definitely seem to be a great source.

Hi Keizo,
is there any hawaiian team running this race this year ?

If you want some pics of the race, tell me... I have just bought a new camera (a 12 M pixels resolution one, finepix s7000)...So, i hope to take some great pictures... Two years ago, i saw nice huge things: va'a surfing on big waves near the reef of Bora-Bora

I really don't know if any of the Hawaii teams are going.. they should, but ofcourse that gets expensive unless they got sponsors.

I definitely would love some photos to post here, and I'm sure many people would enjoy seeing them. s7000 looks like a great camera too. Just send them to my email keizo@ocpaddler.com or contact me by email if you want to set up another way to send them (ftp).

I hope some of them get sponsors to go there...I know that's very expensive to get there for foreign teams.

But, concerning the Molokai, there are more Tahitian teams running the race than the last years, 4 or 5 teams (i don't remember)
Of course, we have Ra'i, but we have also this year Fareara (2003 Hawaiki Nui winner) .
This small team is from Huahine, and this is the mayor of the island who offers the trip to Hawaii and pays the bill....
