About our fundraiser?
There will be a pre race meeting at 9:45 am at Magic Island on the Diamond Head side of Ala Moana Beach Park. Teams can preregister or register on the day of the event from 7 am to 9 am. Race starts at 10 am. After the pre race meeting paddlers will gather beyond the reef in front of Fort DeRussy, an Army reservation built in 1915. There are two courses, short and long. The short course (just under two miles) starts outside Waikiki heads straight out into the deep blue and returns to Magic Island. The long course starts with the short course and heads to a turn buoy then to another turn buoy in front of the Natatorium. The salt water swimming pool was built in 1927 and is dedicated to the honor of the 101 residents of the Hawaiian Territory who died in the Great War. It is located next to Kaimana Beach. The long courses finale leg is back to the finish at Magic Island.

After the race your cars or trucks can be left at Magic Island and you can ride on a trolly bus to the party at Jimmy Buffett’s. The trolly will also take you back to Magic Island after the party. There is also free parking at the Beachcomber Hotel where Jimmy Buffett’s is located
