On December 2 at 8:30 am Kalaheo HS Project Grad 2013 will be holding the Second Annual Kalaheo High School Project Grad Paddle Race. This fundraiser, health and wellness celebration and community event invites high school through Masters paddlers to come enjoy a fun race on Kailua Bay. The course will be 5-6 miles inside Kailua Bay (TBD as per conditions). Divisions will include 6-man Junior Varsity (grades 9-10), Varsity (grades 11-12), Open, Masters for Men, Women and Mixed crews as well as OC-1/OC-2 in all categories.
Lunch and medals will be provided along with the fun and adventure for entry fees of $20 per person ($120 per 6-man crews, $20 per paddler OC seats). Great prizes will be raffled off for $1 tickets on site. Registration will be held in person at the Kailua Canoe Club halau Nov. 25 from 9-12 or by e-mail with Barb VanDerKamp (mailto:rainbobarb13@gmail.com) . Day-of-Race onsite registration will be from 7:00am at a cost of $150 per 6man and $25 per OC paddler.
