Couldn't find any pictures of Day 2.
Insteresting to see how much Team Hawaii struggled in the flat on Day 2 but on Day 1 did well in the channel and surf.
OPT has a shot. They won by nearly 2 minutes on Day 2 and that shows strength, but as I remember this has been a pattern with Shell Vaa win Day 1 struggle Day 2 and smash on Day 3.

Great play by play updates, I felt like I was there. Even though I wished I was there in the lagoon to watch.

Congrats OPT!! I guess their decision to skip the Molokai Hoe to concentrate on Hawaiki Nui paid off. Tough showing for team Hawaii, but good job boys. I was real excited after that first day showing, but looks like the wheels fell off. I do know that they gave it their best. Good job Mike, Kai and the rest of the boys.
Cannot wait for video's from our tahitian friends. Hey Hiro...how did you guys end up?? Hope you had a good Hawaiki Nui.

We had a good time. A lot of fun. I met the Team Brazil and the Team Fischermichel. Special congrats to germans... they had a hard time but never gave up. bravo !
We ended 76th overall. I'm quite happy with that since most of my paddlers had never done any race before, and that was their first time crossing a channel... most of them are veterans and have been paddling for a year or two.
