And what a fantastic effort from the teams that finished in positions 106 to 111, over seven hours in the saddle, now that's tough.
How many teams were pinged for time penalties for not matching their uniforms. There is an obvious one out the front, did they cop a penalty? Matching uniforms look good and reflect pride in the team but should they be cause for a penalty, I think not. However if you were in Australia at Nationals don't worry about the time penalty, you would be DQ'd instead. A bit over the top.
Did Mooloolaba Senior Masters beat the masters teams as well as win the seniors?

Congratulations to all paddlers..this was my second year and I had a blast even though we finished towards the end of the pack...it was amusing to see my crew members fall apart (lack of training)...I trained better this year and will continue to train harder and smarter for next year..the writing is on the wall...you want to win you need to train and train and train....and get on a club that wants to win too....so any openings for a 2nd year novice with plenty of regatta medals to join in a solid crew thats serious about competting? shoot me an email
