North Van, Canada. even more then that I can look out my front door and there's the snow top mountains, and out the back the Ocean. A 10 min dive and I can be down town Vancouver and also in 10 min and I can be in the wilderness. and in 45 days we will be hosting the winter Olympics.

Just north of Porirua (25 km north of Wellington, New Zealand) and about 100 metres up a hill. From my lounge I look down onto the harbour, harbour entrance and associated bay and across to the South Island.
This can be a pro or con. Pro is I don't need to waste time checking weather forecasts, I look out at the water. Con is that when I'm feeling lazy I see everyone going out and pricking my concience. Except today as the cloud base has been 25 metres so I can't see anything except the inside of Cumulus.
