go to outrigger connections in kailua. they will give you advice and let you trial their boats. if you were buying a boat from them, you might want a fusion or maybe even a zephyr? and if their prices are too high, just look for your boat on craigslist/y2kanu.

Search through the old threads.
This one is an example http://www.ocpaddler.com/forum/2010/best_oc1_oahu_market

Keizo, maybe you could make a "sticky" area for threads like these that keep recurring?

"use the search"

I'm 6'2'', 220lbs. Just got the Fai Va'a sent direct from Tahiti to Cali. I assume they ship anywhere, especially HI...

try as many different canoes as possible. Good prices on used canoes such as Fusion, Scorpius, etc. Call Doug Lock at 3665505 for a ride on a Scorpius or Ken Bailey at Hekili Painting- he has a ultralite Scorpius in perfect shape available. The search is part of the fun.
