I am about to purchase a used Vantage, it has a yellow top, he says it's about 6-7 years old. I've been on a 6 man team for a few seasons, but this will be my first OC1 purchase. Size is right for me.
Does anyone know if they were made here or overseas then? Is it a good boat to buy?
He claims it was made on Big Island by Papu here's links to the photos...

My first boat was a Hawaiian Vantage. I loved that boat! It's beautiful. She surfs magnificent. Racing on any kind of flat day you are going to have to hit it an extra 10% though! That boat loves the surf, not the flats.

Papu still has the Vantage on his web site:

I have not owned a Vantage, but I have a more recent OC1 made by Papu and it is well built.
Support local builders, even second hand!
