What: Kauwela (summer) Ocean Triathlon
(swim,paddleboard,oc1) iron and 3man relay teams
....followed by 4man surfing canoe contest....and time
permitting will be transitioned by 4 man canoe races.

Entries in 4man surfing canoe will be limited due to
availability of boats and time constraints. If you
were at the Hoilo (winter) ocean challenge last
year....the format is similar. The goal of the day is
for everyone to have FUN...so the triathlon distances
will be manageable even if you haven't been training.

Updates to Kauwela Ocean Challenge.
1st choice for venue will be Kalapaki Bay in Lihue.
Registration for ocean triathlon will begin at 7am
with solo to start at 7:30am The solo participants
will do a shorter version of the triathlon course and
will go first. This will allow those that want to also
be part of a team to participate again. The team
division will immediately follow (Approximately 9am)
Entry fee is $15 per person for one event and only $5
more if you enter extra events. Transition events for
fun will be standup paddle relay and if time
permits....4man races. Registration for 4man surfing
contest will end at 11am with canoe surfing to start
soon after. Lunch will be provided. For more
