OCPaddler - One year online!

Aloha Paddlers,
I'm proud to say this month marks a full year that OCPaddler has been online! Few new announcents below. Other than that, I would just like to thank everyone for visiting and supporting the site. Lets hope this year only gets better!

Announcing OCPaddler Ads
Advertisements will both include banners and paid links or text Ads. Prices start at $12/month. Ad placement has been designed to avoid hampering the user experience while remaining an effective marketing tool for sponsors. Please see the Advertisement Page if interested.

While many of you may not like the idea of ads, trust me this will be a good thing! Up until now OCPaddler has been run purely on personal funds (especially limited being in college) and while I love doing this, my increasing losses simply cannot continue! Hosting, software, camera, and computer equipment needed to run a website as this, all cost money. Funds from ads will counter this overhead, and allow me to further develop the site to its potential.

What OCPaddler can do for your race or series
The main goal of OCPaddler is to present outrigger news for paddlers around the world. By contributing your races results (and preferably a brief race article/photos) to ocpaddler.com you easily distribute results to the competitors as well as gain extra exposure for your area's series and most importantly your sponsors.
Please remember submitting an article or results is free and easy! Simply use the 'Submit News' page or drop me an email. Photos can be emailed (or ftp or web upload, please email me).

Starting with a few links and several articles in November 2002, OCPaddler.com has been continuously improved to the point where it is arguably the most frequented outrigger site in the world. In September alone there was nearly 11,000 individual visits from over 20 countries. Over that past year there has been 350,000 page views, a value only expected to grow in the next year.
