Results of Keauhou Canoe Club’s 11th Annual Auntie Mary Jane Heihei held Saturday, June 5 at Keauhou Bay, Kona, Hawaii. This long distance race was conceived by Mary Jane Kahanamoku eleven years ago as a fill-in for Graduation weekend when there are no regattas scheduled. For the past several years, the event has restricted all entries to co-ed crews consisting of 3 men and 3 women. Today’s long course was won by an Open crew from Keauhou Canoe Club in the Mirage canoe named after Mary Jane (the Malia Kini). First canoe to cross the line in the short course was the Golden Masters 55+ crew from Kawaihae Canoe Club.
