The question came up regarding the prize money categories for the Inaugural Na Wahine Ikaika women's race coming up on Oct. 11. There will be a cash purse for the following categories of individual discipline: SUP, Prone, Surfski and canoe. The canoe can be either an OC-1 or a V-1. Not enough V-1 competitors to make its own prize money category, but if a V-1 wins the race, then that paddler is eligible for the canoe prize money. Hence why it is labeled "OC-1/V-1".
