Tough Question/It has to be asked

OK.

So this year I move into master’s division, and a few questions have been rattling around in my head as I reflect on the Masters and Senior Master’s divisions

At the Molokai Hoe or the Molokai Solo, what percentage of the Masters, Senior Masters, or Golden Masters are taking HGH or other performance enhancing drugs? Do we care? How many paddlers are not being true to the sport and saying it is a medical issue so I have to?

I know we have talked about this before and debated back and forth about testing, time, energy, extra cost, so I really don’t want to talk about that.

Hi, new paddler on the scene.

Hey everyone,

I live in Australia, lovely waterways all around (I live on the water Sydney Harbour).

I am 22 yrs old, and after seeing so many people having fun on the water in kayaks, I decided to go out and buy one for myself to use.

After investigating kayak designs, I settled on a surf- lifesaving ski design (I paddled them for a bit as a teenager for a surf club) and decided I could handle the stability issue. Took me a little looking but I found a good bargain on a ocean ski.

Any official/unofficial Koa Nui race results?

Any? Saw the pics which were awesome, but would like to see the results if available.

Happy ANZAC Day, Rambo

In case you, or the other Diggers and Kiwis, overlooked it.

The Importance of Racing

On Oahu, we are fortunate to have two racing associations. I understand that racing week in and week out can accrue quite a cost. Dropping 25-30 bucks a week on race fees alone is hard. Despite the cost, it is my strong belief that paddlers wanting to be competitive should take advantage of every opportunity to race. Racing is the best form of training!

Koa Nui Predictions
