Breakfast Of Champions

Hey im just wondering what everyone eats before racing? What affects the body negatively/positively, any energy gains etc. ?

personally i can eat anything and be fine but i usually have eggs or something else with a lot of protein and not much spice for breakfast and then i snack on carbs til right before the race...i'm more of a power bar or gu fan but i'm sure most bars are okay...

As for negatives beer and ice cream are bad choices. I speak through experience. I hear eating too much at the Molokai Ranch before Molokai causes some leakage issues.

I usually eat 5 boiled egg whites before a race. Hmm this is deja vu. Search the forum, I think this already was discused.

Peanut butter and jelly waffle sandwich. Or Oatmeal. if its short nothing.

One somewhat obvious thing that I've done wrong is to experiment on a race day. Try it before practices, and if it works then, try it before a race.
